1850 US Census Adam 47 b. Scotland, Rosanna M. 40 b. PA, John 21 b. Scotland, Robert 16 b. NY, Janet 14 b. NY, Mary 13 b. IL, Henry Clay 6 b. IL, Marian 4 b. IL; Manassah Moyer (Rosanna's son) 15 b. PA; and Anna Mary Moyer (Rossana's daughter) b. IL. Adam born about 1803 in Scotland, living at Township 4 S R 6 W, Randolph Co, IL. Adam was a farmer as his livestock and produce production are listed in the 1850-1880 Non-population schedules.


In 1860 Anna is married to Adam's oldest son by wife Jean: 1860 U.S. Federal Census: Twshp 5 S R 6W, Randolph County, IL Alex Wylie, 33, farmer, $4,000/550, b. Scotland Anna 22, b. PA (this is Anna Moyers, Rosannah's daughter) Robert J. 8, b. IL James Alex 6, b. IL William H. 1, b. IL Henry C. 15, b. IL farm laborer Marion, (F), 14, b. IL Charles Wilderman 15, farm laborer Charles Chamberlain, 22, farm laborer


Nancy Wilson Wylie died in 1857, buried in Hill Prairie Cem. No marriage record for Anna Moyer and Alexander. Alexander dies in 1862 in the Civil War. Anna dies in 1872 age 34 in Kansas and is buried with her mother Rosanna Wylie. She is labeled insane in the 1870 census. Rosanna raises the two children, William H and Abraham C.

Anna applies for a widow's pension in April 1863 for Alexander who died in the Civil War, Dec, 1862. Manasseh, Anna's brother enlisted at the same time as Alexander in 1862, but survived the war.

1870 US Census Rosannah age 60 living at Township 5 Range 5 Randolph Co, IL (P.O Sparta) with Annie Wylie Wylie 32 (b. PA) and Abraham C. Wylie 9 (b. IL). Township 5, Range 5 Randolph Co. Rosannah born in Pennsylvania about 1810. Annie is listed as insane. Rosanna's daughter Anna is Alexander Wylie's widow.

1880 U.S. Census, Bloom, Clay County, Kansas Rosina 69, keeping house, b. PA Willim Wylie, 21, grandson, farmer, father born Scotland, mother b. PA Abraham Wylie, 19, grandson, farmer, father born Scotland, mother b. PA Living next door to Manasseh Moyer and family-farmers. Must have come with Manassah to Kansas. Anna died in 1872 so had to have moved between 1870 and 1872.
