Biography

Emory Ralph was born in 1917. Emory Ralph Moyer ... His World War II draft card lists as Emory Ralph Moyer, married to Evelyn Elizabeth. He is 5'11", 165lbs with blonde hair and blue eyes. Emory's hair was decidedly NOT blonde in spite of what his draft card says. This does signify how little we can trust those who filled out the forms for the Draft in the 40s.

Emory was a bricklayer for the Moyer Bros Construction Company when he met Grace Rogers Canaday in Denver Colorado. He is not listed on the Staff List but his brothers, Alvin, Jacob and Clark are. [1]

Family and Property

Emory Moyer had dark brown hair and blue eyes that he passed down to his children. But apparently, in 1941, he is living in Altoona, Pennsylvania with wife Evelyn, working as a bricklayer. In 1949, his daughter with Elizabeth, Patricia died of an acute cardiac dilation. She was 10 years old. I'm hoping to dig some pictures out of the pictures buried in my closet. There's one of him with his whole family taken for his parents 50th anniversary(?) A second will be of him standing with me at one of the sites he was working in 1954.

California Marriage Index lists as Emory R Moyer marrying Marian E. Rhodes on 22 Dec 1963 in Santa Barbara, California, 5 years after he and Grace Rogers Moyer filed for divorce.

Death and Legacy

He passed away in 1997. [2]
