William Mudgett. the son of Thomas and Ann Mudgett/Mudgitt, was born 16 Oct 1696 in Salisbury Town, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay. [1]
Marriage
He married Dinah Davis, born 24 March 1706 - 1707 in Haverhill, Massachusetts Bay to Stephen Davis and Mary Tucker Davis.[2]
They had at least two sons, Ebenezer (1726) and John (1729), both born in Haverhill, Massachusetts.
Death
He died around 1730 by drowning while working on a bridge over the falls near Manchester, NH. Note there marriage date is not recorded. However, probate records include a letter from Dinah stating that both minor sons, Ebenezer and John, were by her husband William Mudgett.
William Mugitt died intestate and his probate papers from Essex County, Massachusetts, are dated 15 June 1730.[3]
