Birth & Upbringing: Born 1957 in Gutu area.
Education: Davidson was educated at the Gutu Council School.
Military Service: The BSA Police was very much a para-military service and was the nation's first line of defense. Young policemen were thus thrust into armed conflict during the insurgency of the later 1960's and the decade which followed. Those who appear on the BSA Police Roll of Honour (War) are afforded full military honours in the true sense.
The Support Unit of the British South Africa Police was a military organisation of Brigade strength and it sole purpose was to participate as infantry in anti terrorist insurgency operations alongside the Rhodesian Army. The Support Unit was a highly successful disciplined unit.
Occupation: Policeman - joined the BSA Police in ; Reg. No. 24375; served until September 1976. He was a direct entrant to Support Units and was killed while still under training. Attached to Golf Troop.
Demise: Killed on Active Service - accidental while serving as a Constable with Support Unit in . [1]

Burial: was buried with full military honours in Gutu on 7 September 1976
