Biography

PEARL MULLINS BRYANT CASSELL Seneca - Ida Pearl Mullins Bryant Cassell, 58, wife of David Cassell of 506 North Cherry Street died Tuesday afternoon at her home following a sudden heart attack. Mrs. Cassell was born in Morgan County, Alabama, a daughter of the late Hubert and Nancy Louella Hyatt Mullins. She had lived most of her life in the Keowee River Valley, having moved to Seneca one week ago. She attended The Church of God. Her first husband, Marion Bryant, died in 1953. She is survived by her husband; one son, Edgar Roy Bryant of Walhalla; five daughters, Mrs. Mary Neva Rackley of Liberty, Mrs. Cora Bryant Long of Walhalla, Mrs. Ella Bryant Dyar and Mrs. Ola Mae Bryant Smith of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Mrs. Louise Sutton of Hickory, North Carolina; three brothers; Willie B. Mullins of Culman, Alabama, Morgan Mullins of Morgan County, Alabama, and Johnny Mullins of California; 16 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4:00 P.M. at Keowee Baptist Church with the reverends Frank Rochester, Ed Stephens and Vester Stephens officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers: Cleveland Cassell, Vester Cassell, Melvin Summey, Morris Summey, Wash Summey and Marlow Summey. The body is at the home of Charlie Cassell, 105 Marshall Avenue, Seneca. Davenport Funeral home of Walhalla is in charge.
