Clara Roll 71, of Kurtz died at 10:45 am Monday February 7,2005 at her home. Mrs Roll worked for the Indiana State Tree Nursery at Vallonia for over 26 years, retiring in 2000. She had worked at Morgan Packing Co. She was a member of the Kurtz Church of the Nazarene where she had been Sunday School Teacher, Director of Vacation Bible School and President of the missionary group. The funeral will be at 11 am Thursday at the Kurtz Church of the Nazarene with the Rev Duane Boady officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 pm today at Winklepleck Weesner Funerl Home and from 10 am until time for the service at the church. Burial will be at the Kurtz Cemetery Memorials may be made to Kurtz Church of the Nazarene Born in Lincoln County KY, Feb 19,1933 Mrs Roll was the daughter of Woodrow and Esther Osborne Mullins. She married James Martin Roll April 17, 1953 in Freetown. Survivors include children Marty and Thomas Roll, both of Columbus, Glenn Roll of Kurtz and Vicky Pittman of Brownstown; Sisters Phyllis Barnard of Kurtz, Josephine Ruth of Seymour, Amy Price of Louisville, KY and Gail Wilson of Brownstown; a brother Wally Mullins of Kurtz; her stepfather Melvin Kirts of Kurtz; grandchildren Thomas,Mylena,James,Brandon,Kayla and Brent Roll and Stephen,Joe,Stephine and Marvina Pittman and one great great grandchild Noel Roll. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 15, 1987. her parents, Woodrow and Esther Mullins Kirts; an infant sister; an infant brother and an infant grandson.
