Biography

Arrie was born January 26, 1865 in Arkansas to father Joe Mullens and mother Jane Owens.^[1]

Dra A Mullins was enumerated at Magnolia, Arkansas Post Office, Buena Vista Township, Columbia County, Arkansas for the June 6, United States Census, 1870. She was noted as born 1864-1865 in Arkansas as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are male Joseph W Mullins, female Nancy J Mullins, female Mary E Mullins, male Alexander Mullins and a Johnston family that is likely neighbors and shouldn't have been included as part of the family.^[2]

Arrie A Mullins was enumerated as daughter at Buena Vista, Columbia County, Arkansas for the June 10, United States Census, 1880. She was noted as at home, born 1865 in Arkansas and single as seen in this image of the original census. She was the mother of seven children of which all were still living. She was a farmer on a general farm and an owner as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Phillip Gillespie, wife Jessie Gillespie, son Sharon Gillespie, daughter Madeline Gillespie and brother Willie Roach.^[8]

Arie Mullens was listed as the mother of Alvin Gillespie who died November 11, 1936 in Shelby County, Texas. The father was listed as Frank Gillespie.^[10]
