Biography

European Aristocracy
William Monson was a member of the aristocracy in England.

William Monson was the son of Sir John Monson and Dorothy Meres. He married Elizabeth Tyrwhitt, daughter of Sir Robert Tyrwhitt of Kettleby. He died in November 1558.

He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Totnes in 1547. He held the office of High Sheriff of Leicestershire in 1553. He lived at South Carlton, Lincolnshire, England
