Frances "Fanny" Munson was born in Machias, probably in that part later set off as East Machias, c1794, the daughter of Stephen Munson and Sarah Foster;

died, 2 Mar 1856, and is buried in the East Machias Village Cemetery.

In the 1850 USC of Crawford, Maine, she was enumerated in the household of her daughter and son-in-law, Nathaniel and Rhoda (Hanscom) Grover.
