Malotha Trail = Barrett Freeland Munson
He was married twice the first wife being Martha Ann Saunders of Loudoun County, Virginia and they married there in 1852. They had 2 daughters Mary and Harriet who were born while they lived in Sandy Springs, Maryland. His second wife was Eliza E. Newton whom he also married in Loudoun County, Virginia in 1867. In the 1870 census of Loudoun Co., Virginia it shows Mary and Harriet living with their Aunt Mary Saunders Williams and Malotha (Barrett) and Eliza in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with their oldest child Harry. We believe Malotha took the name Munson as his alias because Lafayette Baker used the alias Samuel Munson while spying for the North during the war.
