Note

Note: After serving in the Civil War, Frank joined a group from New haven who were on their way to the Black Hills of South Dakota. Although this area was "Off Limits" to any but the Sioux Indians at this time, the call of adventure led them on. The discovery of gold by the forces of General Custer was more than enough incentive. Frank found that the small amount of gold did not help him survive the high prices of basic supplies to live on. The group returned to New Haven. Frank became ill while working on underground sewer construction and died leaving a widow and three small children.
