Biography
Wayne was born in 1927. He is the son of Emmett Murdock and Dessie Trout. He passed away in 2014.

Wayne Eugene Murdock, age 86 of Nashville, born August 29, 1927 passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Mary Ann Hedgcoth Murdock and parents Jason Emmet and Dessie Katherine Trout Murdock.
Survivors include his daughter, Daphne (Bill Selden) Murdock; son, Mike (Maria) Murdock; grandchildren, Katie (Dale) Best, Andrea (Patrick) Houseman, Laurel (Ben) Barbour, Allison High, Carter High, Davis Murdock and Reid Murdock and great-grandchildren, Nathan Barbour, Ellie Houseman, Luke Barbour, and Isaac Best.
Wayne served as a Seaman First Class in the United States Navy during WWII, attended Peabody College and worked for Western Electric installing central office telephone equipment from which he later retired.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 25, 2014 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home where a celebration of Wayne’s life will be conducted on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 1:00 pm with a visitation one hour prior to service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Humane Society.
