Biography

Thomas J. Murphree was born 31 Jan 1845 in Chickasaw County, Mississippi. ^[1] He was the son of Levi Murphree and Phoebe Ann Brown. ^{[2] [3]}

He married Rebecca Catherine Logan in 1864 in Mississippi. They had seven children in 20 years.

He died on January 27, 1902, in Bruce, Mississippi, at the age of 56, and was buried in Rocky Mount Cemetery, Reid, Calhoun County, Mississippi. ^[4]
