If Bridget was indeed born in 1861 the first New York Municipal Death record wouldn't fit because it shows her age as 45 born 1837. She was alive in 1901 according to the census record cited and would have died before her last five children were born. Unless the mother's parents were named James and Bridget Murphy also, it's not likely the record is of her mothers death either. The second record of death, born in 1839 could be her mother if an error was made in the marital status and fathers name.
