William was born in 1881. He was the son of Edward Murphy and Agnes Sheehan. He passed away in 1951. He is also known as Wiliam Le Clare Murphy
Sue Scarcella: I was told by Uncle Ray Murphy that the family still followed the Irish system of changing names from birth to baptism( to fool the pixies, by all account). When Uncle Ray went to get his birth cert so he could join the army, he couldn't find it. "What name did you look under?" asked his mother. "Raymond Trevor Murphy", he replied. "That's because your name is David Charles Bronterre Murphy," she said. No reason for the names is known, but Le Clair/Le Clare and Bronterre are French. Was there French ancestry amongst the Murphys? We shall never know, as we cannot get beyond Timothy Murphy in the 1780s. And there is the strong possibility that these names could have come from other lines. Was William Sheehan actually William Le Clair Sheehan? Who knows?
He died aged 69 and was buried at Purewa Cemetery, Auckland on 21 April 1951

One has a duplicated child and the other has the parents.
We need to merge the duplicate and link the family to the ancestors.
