MURPHY, Cecil Ellsworth - 80, Aylesford, Kings Co., died April 19, 1997, in Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre, Waterville. Born in Aylesford, he was a son of the late Alfred and Mary (Joudrey) Murphy. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Ortona Branch 69, Berwick. He had worked 18 years for Minas Basin Pulp and Paper, which later became Avon Foods. Surviving are his wife, the former Nellie Bishop, Kingston, Kings Co.: sons, Peter and Percy both of Kingston, Kings Co.; daughters, Eva Bent, Kingston, Kings C0.; Sherryl Murphy, East Dalhousie, Kings C0.; sisters, Helen (Mrs. Percy Foster), Aylesford; Peggy (Mrs. Fred Weihers), Morristown; Ruth Dorey, Black Harbour, N.B.; Joyce Taylor, Wolfville; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son, Jimmy Dean; brothers, George, Steadman, William; sister, Thelma Veinot. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday, both in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, Rev. Clyde Lowe officiating. Burial in Aylesford Union Cemetery. Family flowers only.
