Christina (Murphy) Murray
hi, I am Christina. I have been looking for my biological great grandfather..and have little information. His name is John Arthur Brown (Senior), I know he was in Miami, Florida in 1920 and married my grandmother Viola Estelle Potter (from Conn.) in 1921. They met on the beach in Miami, the story goes that he opened a suitcase full of money and and asked her to marry him and she did. I know they were in Gulfport, Fl. in 1922 when my grandfather was born and owned (and lived in ) and apartment building....Brown Apts. He cheated on her and she threw him out...He tried to see the boys (his brother was Edward Brown) but she would not let him, he died penniless in a hotel in Miami around 1955.
