This James (below) might be another Murphy one who was not the Blacksmith... The Grave site shown in Eurekapedia is located in Old Ballarat Cemetery, Victoria.

James Murphy (the senior James Murphy) was born about 1833 at Ennis, County Clare, Ireland. He migrated to Australia about 1840.

Married Anne Curtis 1876 at Victoria. They moved to Tongala (Northern Victoria). 5x children. They settled down to a farming life.

He passed away 1909 aged 71 years (est. DOB 1833). He is interred at Ganmain Cemetery, New South Wales with wife Anne Margaret (Curtis) Murphy (her Parents; Michael Curtis & Sarah (Molloy) Curtis) & son James (Jnr). Interred nearby are sons Michael & John.

Death notice "Died on March 7th, at "Ennis Vale," Ganmain, (Narrandera district,) N.S.W., James, Husband of Mary, brother of Mr. Murphy of Anakie, Victoria. Colonist of fifty-seven years, and a Eureka Stockade defender. "[1]
