W. Murphy family lived on a farm on the North River Rd., Scotch Village, NS (ref. AF Church map of Hants County, 1871) Oscar took over this farm 'til time of death. Oscar's widow (Jessie Laura Dill Murphy) married Robert E. McInnis, widower, who had acquired the farm next door in early 1900's!
