James Murray
Born on the 10th of July, 1743, James Murray was the son of James Murray and Anne Bolling. His parents were first cousins.
James Murray married Martha Ward. James Murray owned large estates in Mecklenburg County near what is now Chase City, Virginia. Martha Ward Murray married second to Jerman Baker, attorney-at-law, of Petersburg, Virginia.
James and Martha Ward Murray had Mary Murray (1767-1/18/1804). Mary Murray married on 14 Jan 1787 to Edmund Harrison.Edmund Harrison (1764-1828) of "The Oaks"in Amelia County, Virginia. In 1806 Edmund Harrison married second to Martha Wayles Skipwith, daughter of Col. Henry S. Skipwith, and had issue.Murray-1741
