Research Notes

Scotland Project managed profiles team: children's birthdates are too early to be reasonable; wife may be controversial and her dates are also off and need to be checked. Daughter Christian is not named in The Scots Peerage and needs further research. Stevens-17832 19:12, 29 November 2023 (UTC)

Murray-851 and Murray-575 appear to represent the same person because: These are the same men. The parents, spouses and biography on Murray-851 should be retained in place of that on Murray-575
there is something wrong with the dates and ranking of this profile and that of his father and grandfather. His father and grandfather are both showing as Sixth of Tullibardine. William is being shown as born 1432 with a skewer of brothers being born before him with some founding cadet lines yet the youngest is showing continuing the main line

I have found another son of William Murray and Margaret (Gray) Murray, namely Andrew Murray. In http://www.thepeerage.com (index #477761) it notes "Sir Andrew Murray is the son of Sir William Murray of Tullibardine and Margaret Gray". Could this be correct?

Murray-5683 and Murray-851 appear to represent the same person because: Same parents, siblings and spouse, dates within reason
