Biography

Thomas Murrell was born in 1690 in Surry, Surry, Virginia, son of William M Murrell (1636–1754) and Ann Murrell (1666–1726).

Thomas (23) married Elizabeth Oliver (23) (born in Surry; daughter of William Oliver and Elizabeth McCartie) about 1714 in Surry County, Virginia. Their known children were:

Thomas Murrell, the son of William and grandson of William was one of the first settlers of Virginia and endured bravely the hardships incident to pioneer life. [VA Biography -- Pg 175].
