William Murrell worked as a Draper and Milliner in the parish of Prittlewell, Essex.
Frederick worked as a Steward on the ship 'Rimutaka and arrived in Wellington, January 1 1899, where he made his home.
Frederick first worked as an Electroplater and then Meat Worker.
His name was drawn in the 1917 Ballot for the 2nd division WWI.
In 1904, he married Emma Zoe Styles. They settled in Wellington until the 1920's when they headed north to Hawkes Bay.
Frederick continued to work in the meat industry and later became an Insurance Agent.
After Emma's death he returned to Wellington where he took on labouring work.
He remarried in 1929 to widow, Maud Alice (Standen) Clemens.
Maud passed away in 1944, and Frederick was now twice widowed.
He remained in Wellington till the mid 1950's. Frederick next moved to Picton, 1-2 years before his death possibly to be near his son Frederick John who had moved there in the mid 1950's.
