Biography

I [Peter McLeod] actually knew both Roland and Audrey and walked the 3 miles to Norton Superior school with the two older daughters, Elaine and Joan for several years.
Audrey Belle Hatfield Myers was born on April 13, 1903 in the same residence where she was married and lived most of her life, at the Myers Farmhouse just west of Norton, NB on Route 121. In the years back in 1940's it was known as the "Post Road".
Audrey Belle Hatfield Myers married my uncle Roland Frederick Jeffrey (a brother to my mother) on the 4th of May, 1932, in her mother's residence in Norton, Kings County, New Brunswick. Her mother was a bed-patient.
The clergy of the Church of England at Bloomfield Station, NB,, who was Rev'd G.G. Elsforth performed the ceremony. The witnesses were Winston Myers, a brother of Audrey and my aunt Martha A. Jeffrey, a sister of Roland Jeffrey.
That is also the date that Roland took the task of operating the farm, on Route 121 about 4 kilometers west of the town of Norton. It was a large farm, 200+ acres, mostly wooded and bordered on the south by the Kennebecasis River. He added cattle, hens, pigs and horses and made the farm support the family.

They raised three daughters and two sons.
NAMES DATES TO FOLLOW. -> when I can find the data.
I remember Elaine and Joan, but I forgot the youngest daughter's name, and I never met the boys.
Sorry, no record in NB Govt Archives.
