Lester "Eck" L. MYERS Jr., 65, of HC 01, Box 57, Spruce Creek, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2001. at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon, following a brief illness.

Born Jan. 28, 1936, in Bellwood, he was the

son of the late Lester L. Myers Sr. and Lorene Cronemiller, who survives in Spruce Creek. He married Ruth E. Cella June 3, 1959, in Maryland. Mrs. Myers survives at home, along with one daughter and two sons: Debra Wilson, Petersburg; Dave W. Myers, Tyrone, RD.; and John D. Myers,

Spruce Creek. There is one granddaughter. A daughter, Carol, is deceased. Two sisters and a brother survive: Donna Gill, Orrstown; Mary Fink and Ronald Myers, both of Spruce Creek. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Mr. Myers had been a dairy farmer and later

worked for area contractors doing excavating on road construction projects. He retired in 1996. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be made in the Franklinville cemetery.
