- (2nd) on 2 Apr 1849 in Clinton, IL to Amanda French [4]
- (3rd) in 1859 in Clinton, IL, to Veronika Fischer [5]
1850[1] : In Clinton, Illinois : John Myers, tanner (age 49, b. PA). With (presumed) wife Amanda (26, b. MO), and children Catherine (16, b. PA), Mary (12, b. PA), John (9, b. IL), Henry (4, b. IL) and Sarah (2, b. IL). Another son, Daniel (26, b. PA) is living close by with his young family.
1860[2] : In Clinton, IL : John Myers, farmer (age 60, b. PA). With (presumed) wife Aronica (27, b. Switzerland) and children / grandchildren John (20), Henry (13), Sarah (12), Ira (8), Melvin (6), Samuel (5), Melissa (3), and Mary (1), all b. IL.
1870[3] : In Clinton, IL : John Myers, farmer (age 69, b. PA). With (presumed) wife Fredwake (48, b. Germany) and children / grandchildren Samuel (14), Annie (8), Eli (6), Nora (1) all b. IL.
Death : John is reported to have died in Clinton, IL, in 1876 (source needed).
Notes
John's older children were born in PA in 1823, 1834 and 1838. His son John was born in IL c.1840. So it is assumed that the family moved to IL c.1839.
