I became interest in genealogy when I found my Grandmother's copy of her Family Tree (dating back to 1767). Two of Grandma's cousins had taken on the task of doing research to keep the record up-to-date and this was in 1937. Besides the fact that it looks like a blueprint, which fascinated me, I thought about the amount of work and patience it would take to do this. It was obviously very important to them, so it became important to me. Genealogy is like a 10,000 piece puzzle that I know will take time, but the finished piece will hold the answer... priceless! I am thrilled I found WikiTree and hope to be able to contribute to their vision.
