We are building one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to check for duplicates as you add any Profiles to WikiTree.
The records I have discovered thus far take me to Washington and Nelson counties of Kentucky in 1760 before Kentucky became a state. I hope others may have resources to assist me in this pursuit. I agree with your mission and will abide by your nine simple rules to foster productive collaboration in a positive and enjoyable community.
Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few features you may find useful.

If you need to describe an event, heirloom or a location relevant to your research, try Free Space Profiles .
If you run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving these unfortunate situations.
