Biography

Jacob L. Myers, son of Josiah Myers and his first wife, was born on 27 April 1809 in Weston, Oneida county, New York.

In abt 1834 Jacob wed a woman who bore him three children:

  1. Edgar Myer, b. abt 1834 in New York;
  2. Celwin Myers, b. abt 1835 in New York;
  3. Theodore Myers, b. abt 1837 in New York.

Jacob wed secondly Mary (b. 1825) in abt 1843. Jacob and Mary had at least seven children:

  1. Oscar L. Myers, b. abt 1843 in Wisconsin;
  2. Charles M. Myers, b. abt 1847 in Wisconsin;
  3. Casper J. Myers, b. abt 1849 in Plover, Portage, WI;
  4. Henry Myers, b. abt 1851 in Wisconsin;
  5. Martha Myers, b. abt 1855 in Wisconsin;
  6. Albert Myers, b. abt 1858 in Wisconsin;
  7. Klaus Myers, b. abt 1858 in Wisconsin.

Jacob L. Myers wed a third time in Wisconsin, where he died.

  • Holy Bible of Mallory H. Myers: data recorded 22 Feb 1845, 30 Mar 1845, 1904. Owned by Jane McFellin Horman and passed on to Atlee McFellin of Battle Creek, MI. Note: In this family bible Mallory H. Myers wrote down the names and dates and places of birth of all his siblings, from both his father's marriages. The name of Josiah Myers' first wife, who bore him seven children, is unknown; Josiah Myers' second wife was Ruth Whelan, who bore him eight children.
