Biography

Lois was born on 25 April 1847 in Fremantle, Western Australia.^[1] Her headstone has her date of birth as 24/4/1848.

She moved to South Australia with her parents in 1852.

According to her father's biography by 1867 she had two children Ellen Ann and John William.

It appears she had a daughter by 1862 to a man named Edward Shipway.

There are no online birth records for the children in South Australia under the name Myrick or Shipway. She had one son and one daughter with Mr. Brown. She then married Thomas Paxton and they had six children together. She died on June 21, 1936, in Kansas at the age of 89, and was buried in Wabaunsee, Kansas.
