John Miller (son?) applied 25 Nov 1842, in Montgomery County, New York, to receive pension benefits for Dionysius Miller. Dionysius resided in New York City, entered the service as a private for 18 months. He was in the Battle of Long Island in 1776. After the city was lost he went to Montgomery County the Tryon Co., where he served in the Companies of Capt. Joseph House and Adam Leiper. He died in Montgomery County 25 March 1834. His children were John and Catharine, and a grandson was also called Dionesius.[4]
