Anna Luise Auguste 'Gustl' Müller was born 10 November 1906 in Zerbau=Serby, Glogau=Glogów, Liegnitz, Provinz Schlesien, Preußen, Deutsches Reich (Silesia, Prussia, German Empire), nowadays Poland[1], to Ernst Richard Müller (1882-1949) & his wife Auguste Louise Beloch (1884-1960).

She married Franz Josef Gürth (1904-1983) on 13 September 1931 in Ostritz, Zittau, Niederschlesien.

Their children were:

  1. Waldemar Franz Ernst Gürth (1932 - 1985)
  2. Karl-Heinz Gürth (1940 - 2011)

She worked in the Kolonialwaren-Laden / colonial shop (grocery store) of her husband in Zerbau and lived with her family until 1945 in Zerbau/Lerchenberg, Glogau=Glogów, Liegnitz, Preußen, Schlesien (displaced person).

In the harsh cold freezing winter of early 1945, she fled from Zerbau on foot with her two small children in the refugee trek from Silesia to relatives in the Sudetenland and then on to Baalsdorf, Saxony, leaving behind her parents' house, farm and the colonial store with all her possessions and belongings. She and the whole family was never to see their home again.

In Baalsdorf near Leipzig, they built up a new existence from nothing after the end of the war. Her husband Franz worked until his retirement as a locksmith in the wagon repair department at the RAW (Reichsbahn-Ausbesserungs-Werk) Engelsdorf of the Deutsche Reichsbahn. She had a small wreath-making business to earn some extra money.

She passed away after a longer period of illness on 21 October 1978 in Baalsdorf, Sachsen and is buried there with her husband and also later her son Waldemar. The grave of her and her husband and son was dissolved.
