When James NANCE was born on October 25, 1826, in Hamilton, Ohio, his father, Richard, was 30 and his mother, Jane, was 20. He married Isabella BETTIS on November 27, 1850, in his hometown. They had three children during their marriage. He died on December 10, 1895, in Hamilton, Ohio, at the age of 69, and was buried there.
