Biography

When David Whiteford NANCE was born on April 27, 1878, in Columbus, North Carolina, his father, Atkinson, was 44 and his mother, Cecila, was 39. He married Nina WHITNEY on May 20, 1906, in his hometown. They had four children during their marriage. He died as a young father on March 4, 1912, in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the age of 33, and was buried in Cerro Gordo, North Carolina.
