When Laura Bell NANCE was born on January 8, 1873, in Peoples, Iowa, her father, Lewis, was 45, and her mother, Harriet, was 40. She married Louis CLARK on October 3, 1899, in Dallas, Iowa. Married 2nd Hans M. Weishaar on 12 Aug 1919. She died on March 17, 1945, in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 72.

Obit

March 15, 1945. Woodward Enterprise (Woodward, Dallas County, Iowa) "Mrs. Lewis Clark dies in Des Moines." Mrs. Lewis Clark, 72, died at Des Moines Tuesday morning at Broadlawns Hospital. She had been ill for some time. She was formerly Laura Nance and the sister of the late Mrs. Dora Thomas and Mrs. Minerva Storm. She is survived by one son, Randall, of Des Moines. Funeral services are being held at 3 o'clock this afternoon at Lily's funeral home in Des Moines. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Cooper, Tom and Joe and Dorothy Thomas are attending the service.
