Biography

John M. NANCE was born on March 4, 1798, in Davidson, Tennessee, his father, Bird, was 25 and his mother, Mary, was 22. He married Ann GAMBRILL on March 26, 1818, in Rutherford, Tennessee. They had 11 children in 17 years. He died on February 7, 1872, in Bedford, Tennessee, at the age of 73, and was buried in Shelbyville, Tennessee.
