Biography

Per DAR records his name was Nantz[1]

John Nance, the son of William and Ann Nance was born in Burnswick County, Virginia around 1748. He married Mary, in 1778 in Henry County, Virginia and died between 24 Nov 1813, when he wrote his will ,[2] and when his will was probated on 13 Jun 1814 in Jefferson County Tennessee[3][4]

  5. Elinor Garner
  6. Betsey Nance (she married a Nance)
  7. Polly Roack

It is interesting that his daughter, Jane is not named. Otherwise the list of names match what is on FindAGrave.[5]
