Azubah Nash was the daughter of Ensign Daniel Nash, who worked as a blacksmith in South Hadley, Massachusetts. Her mother was named Abigail but her family name unknown.She was one of eight children and born on June 24, 1747. She was married in 1771 *Note* different marriage date than cited in Hartford book to Joshua Abbott, who settled in Conway, Massachusetts.
"Sergt. Joshuas Abbott" married in November 1770, Azuba Nash of South Hadley, Massachusetts
The family eventually settled in Geneseo County, New York state.
