Notes
Note N112Caroline Butcher (nee Nash) must have been illiterate as indicated by her mark in place of signature on the birth certificate of her daughter Emily Butcher. As public education was not generally available before the 1870s this was very common.
Caroline's estimated birthyear is problematical as it varies from 1837-38 from her marriage banns to 1841-42 from the 1861 Census and Amanda Boakes family tree, to 1839-40 from her death registration!
