James is found in the 1910 Arkansas Census ref #048 0114 0120 at the age of 32 living in Poinsett County with wife Eugenia. This is Mary Jane who was called Jennie. She was 26 years of age. With them are listed Spencer age 6 years, Sheard listed as Sherda age 3 years, and Atha, her age was not recorded.
James is also listed in the 1920 Arkansas Census living in Jackson County, Vol 28, E.D. 67, Sheet 3, Line 31, with second wife Margaret Jackson Neal at age 31 years. James was listed at age 40 years, Spencer was listed at 18 years, Sheard was listed as Sherdian at age 14 years, Atha she was listed at age 10. Living with them were Homer Jackson, stepson at age 9 years, Adelle Jackson, Stepdaughter at age 6 years, and Evrigde, stepson at age 5 years.
