He was the only surviving son of John Nelson, a merchant in the Turkey trade, by Delicia, daughter of Sir Lewes Roberts.[1]He was born on the 22 Jun 1656 in London, Middlesex, England.[2]He married Lady Theophilia Berkeley, daughter of George Berkeley, 1st Earl of Berkeley and Elizabeth Massingberd, on 23 November 1682 in Westminster, Middlesex, England.[3]He died 16 Jan 1715 in Kensington, Middlesex, England.[4]
