Biography

Mildred Delores Brandt, 89, formerly of Jenkins, died Friday, March 21, 2014 at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan in Pine River. Interment will take place at Pine River Cemetery.

Mildred was born April 22, 1924, in Bemidji, the daughter of John H. and Mary A. (Welch) Nelson. Millie worked at Honeywell for a number of years until her retirement. She loved to plant flowers, play cards with friends, and eat fried chicken and ice cream.

Mildred will be missed by her daughter, Darlene (Jim Wessels) Hofius, of Hackensack; granddaughters, Jackie (George) Voges, of Pequot Lakes, Sue (Darin) Meyer, of Pequot Lakes; great-grandchildren, Joel Kreller, Stephaine Kreller, Melissa Ecker, Brianna Revermann, Courtney (Joseph) Douglass, Valorie Voges (Cory Wolkenhauer), Madolyn Voges, and great-great-grandchildren Connor Wolkenhauer, Coopor Wolkenhauer, Cordeleah Wolkenhauer, Wyatt Revermann, and Ava Revermann. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Chester Rush and LeRoy Brandt; son, Marvin; three brothers; and a sister.^[1]
