Biography

Edith (Nesbit) Tucker is Notable.

The famous children's writer "E. Nesbit," perhaps most famous for the story The Railway Children.

Co-founder of Fabian Society.

Married first bank clerk Hubert Bland. Edit raised not only her child by him, but also his two children by her best friend who lived with them as a housekeeper.

After his death, she married Thomas "the Skipper" Tucker, captain of the Woolwich Ferry.
