Biography

John was born in 1763.

Children

  • Margaret Elizabeth Nesbitt, born about 1781 in Dublin, Dublin, Ireland, married Matthias Turner

Research Notes

Claimed to have died 1837 . Canton, Washington, Pennsylvania, USA that was another John see Nesbitt-1515

claimed mother, Margaret Armitage, Born 1743 in Chester, Pennsylvania Colony can not be his mother if she was only 10 in 1753-There is a problem here how could he have been born when his mother was 10 years old?

claimed father is Joseph is also possibly an error

Carruth-363 18:01, 12 June 2019 (UTC) changing Birth back to 1763, which is what is how it was entered initially, until it was changed based on age on Gravestone picture, (note gravestone belonged to another John see Nesbitt-1515 )which could be incorrect, until sources found. Mother born in Pennsylvania, Father born in Scotland, both parents died in Maryland. John is born in Delaware, Very possible that he went to Scotland / Ireland with otr without his parents, married, had a child, then returned to US, where he and his wife died, and where his daughter married and died.

Nesbitt-1341 and Nesbitt-442 appear to represent the same person because: They have same mother and same date of death

They both need better sourcing
