BONNIE W. GAY wrote: 2499 James Madison Nesmith was married to Elizabeth Mariann Nesmith first. I am a decendant of these two people. There youngest son was Noah H. Nesmith who was my great grandfather. Elizabeth Mariann died when he was just 3 days old. Madison married shortly after she died to Amanda Mason. Elizabeth Mariann Nesmith was the oldest daughter of John Nesmith and Rachael Freeman. Madison and Elizabeth were first cousins. Just wanted to clear this up. Bonnie

James Madison Nesmith, son of James Daniel and Jane Price Nesmith, is my 2nd great uncle. His brother, John Matthew Nesmit, is my 2nd great grandfather. I have done extensive research on the NESMITH family and would like to share my reseach with others.
