François Neveu dit Lemon was born April 5, 1666 in St-Lô (Temple-Calviniste), Normandie (Manche), France to Daniel Le Nepveu and Anne Saint[1] [2]
His father was Sieur de Poullinière [2] His parents were married August 10, 1663 [2] His grandfather Jacques Le Nepveu was the sieur de Poulliniere, in 1610 to 1625. The seigneurie was then passed on to Jacques' son, Jacques Le Nepveu in 1644 (who would presumably be François' father). The latter had married a daughter of young lady Marthe Gallet (potentially François' mother) , widow of M. Philippe Le Vallois, equerry, Bailly de Moyon [3]
François first appeared in Canada, Nouvelle-France. He was a soldier with a Marine company detachment of troops, Cie de Dumesnil [2]
François married Catherine Chaudillon on 9 Octobre 1688 in L'Enfant-Jésus church of Pointe-aux-Trembles de Montréal, [4]
His paternal grandparents were Jacques Le Nepveu (lawyer) and Marie Neuvall [2]
