Biography

Thomas Nevile was a member of the aristocracy in British Isles.

He was born the 25th of Nov 1501 at Holt, Leicestershire, England, the son of William Neville. He married Katherine Foljambe in 1533 at Holt, Leicestershire, England.

He was Sheriff of Leicestershire in 1539, 1552, and 1561.

He died in 1569 at Holt, Leicestershire, England. He dsp. without male issue and gave Holt to his illegitimate son Blunt Nevill.

They had four sons, Thomas, Richard, William, and John, and six daughters, Dorothy (wife of John Fettiplace and Anthony Hungerford, Knt.), Anne, Margaret (wife of Edward Fiennes and Thomas Neville, Knt.), Elizabeth, Susan (wife of Walter Hungerford, Knt. and Constance (wife of John Staveley). Sir John Danvers died 3 Jan. 1514/5. His widow, Anne, died 29 Dec. 1539.
