Richard de Rigsby (fl. 1115 x 1118), son of Losoard (Losward), was living at the time of the Lindsey Survey.[1]
The Lindsey Survey dates to 1115 x 1118,[1] and is when Richard, "held 2 carucates 2 bovates in Rigsby of the lord of the honour of Richmond."
Richard's father Losoard, held land in Rigsby, co. Lincs. at the time of the Domesday Survey.
Richard was succeed by his son Roscelin, who gave land in Rigsby to Greenfield priory. It's thought that Roscelin married an unidentified woman from the Neville family (branch unknown). Farrer & Clay, believe that her son assumed her last name.
Roscelin had a son known to antiquarians as Jollan (living Hen II), but records identify him has as Joehlin (d. 1207), whose wife Amfelise (Amflicia) brought Rodliston (Rolleston) manor into the family.
