John Neville, Knight, 6th Lord Latimer was the son and heir of John de Neville, K.G. and Elizabeth Latimer. He was born at Middleham castle in the tower called ‘Barontoure’ and baptised in the church of St. Mary, Middleham, on 12 June 1381.[1]
He married Maud de Clifford. They were divorced about 1413, and she subsequently married Richard of York (as his 2nd wife) about 1414. They had no issue. John's estate went to his half-brother, Ralph Neville and other heirs. [2]
John Neville was summoned to Parliament from 25 Aug. 1404 to 27 Nov. 1430. [3] He died 10 Dec. 1430, requesting in his will his burial at St. Mary's Abbey, York. [4]
