Ann Newby was born about 1785 in Stockton, Durham, England, daughter of Robert Newby (<1744–~1825) and Ann Scorer (~1742–>1847).
Ann (25) married Robert Scurfield (31) (born on July 27, 1780 in Sunderland, County Durham, England) on October 16, 1811 in Trimdon, County Durham[1][2] Their children were:
